Licence
Understanding the licence screen
Select Administration in the navigation bar, then Licence, to check whether the installed licence is valid and when it expires, and to upload a new one.
The banner across the top of the screen shows the licence's state:
| Banner | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Licence valid (N days remaining) | The licence is valid for at least 30 more days. |
| Licence about to expire in N days | The licence expires in fewer than 30 days. |
| Licence expired, please upload a valid licence to continue using OpsChain | The licence has expired or is not valid. |
Below it, the screen lists the installed licence's details:
| Row | Description |
|---|---|
| Issuer | Who issued the licence. |
| Issuer contact | How to contact the issuer about the licence. Use the copy button to copy it. |
| Version | The licence's version. |
| Customer identifier | The customer the licence was issued to. |
| Start date | When the licence became valid. |
| End date | When the licence expires. |
Uploading a licence
- In the Upload licence area, click Choose file and select the licence file, or drag and drop the file anywhere on the screen.
- Check the file name and size shown. To pick a different file, clear the selection with the × button.
- Click Upload.
When the licence is applied, OpsChain confirms with Licence applied successfully and the details update. If OpsChain rejects the file, the error is shown above the upload area and the installed licence stays in place.
When no valid licence is installed
Without a valid licence, the GUI shows only an upload area after you log in. Upload the licence file there. See also expired / invalid licence.
